Abstract

The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is a systematic and objective method for assessing road surface conditions by measuring the extent of damage and deterioration. The research methodology involves field inspections to identify various types of damage, such as cracks, potholes, and deformations, which are then classified according to PCI damage categories. The collected data is analyzed to determine the overall PCI value and the existing road condition levels. The research findings indicate that the Kokole-Batu Likupang road section experiences varying PCI levels of damage, with some segments requiring immediate attention and indicating different needs for repair and maintenance to ensure road user safety and comfort. These findings are expected to provide recommendations and serve as a basis for planning and managing road maintenance, as well as improving transportation infrastructure quality in North Minahasa.
