Abstract

Postpartum depression has a major impact on the condition of mothers and babies who are born or on children who have been born before. The difficulty of interaction and communication between mothers who are experiencing psychological disorders and depression and their children increases the risk of behavioral disorders and cognitive disorders in children and can even harm children. Method: Quantitative research was used in this study. There were 65 respondents who participated as samples. Data were collected by using questionnaires. and analyzed by using Spearman rho statistical test. Results: The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between social support and the implementation of bounding attachment showing a significance p-value =0.000 ˂  α= 0.05; also there is a significant relationship between stress levels with the implementation of bounding attachments showing a significant p-value =0.000 ˂ α= 0.05. Conclusion: it could be concluded that there is a relationship between social support and stress levels with the implementation of bounding attachments at General Hospital GMIM Bethesda Tomohon.
