ABSTRACT- The elderly is an age group that experiences the aging process, which is often accompanied by a decline in physical and cognitive function. Elderly independence in performing ADLs is an important indicator in assessing their quality of life. Good family support can increase the independence of elderly people in carrying out ADLs. The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between family support and the independence of the elderly in fulfilling activity daily living (ADL) in Bantane Village, Rainis District, Talaud Islands Regency. This quantitative research method uses a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 122 elderly people. using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques use univariate and bivariate using the Spearman rho statistical test. The research results show a significant relationship (p=0.054) of family support with the independence of the elderly in fulfilling daily living activities (ADL) with a weak correlation coefficient and the direction of the variable relationship is positive (0.175). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between family support and the independence of the elderly in fulfilling activity daily living (ADL) in Bantane Village, Rainis District, Talaud Islands Regency.
